This tool for story development and song writing is itself still in development. Feedback would be greatly appreciated, especially if you have ideas or requests for new interpreters, but also "first impression" and design feedback is welcome.

I do not recommend using it for anything beyond playing around with at this point, as I am still working out the database format and your account or project might stop working unexpectedly.

Please have a look at the help section for basic instructions And load the example files to see what can be done.

Fountain support!
A couple of weeks ago the new screenplay markdown format Fountain was revealed. Thanks to Martin Vilcans work on the open source Fountain tool Screenplain LaserOwl now can take advantage of this exciting format. Fountain is actually very similar (but more powerful) than LaserOwls native screenplay format "Laser Screenplay" which was inspired by Fountains predecessor Scrippets. You should be able to just switch the interpreter of your project to Fountain and most of it should work pretty well.

Major rework of the backend
The backend+database has been completely redone. Please report any problems.

Tweaks to the Laser Screenplay interpreter
It should now be even easier to use. Check the help for details.

Help Bar
LaserOwl now has a Help Bar to make everything easier for first time users.

Unicode support
LaserOwl now supports Unicode which means a lot to non-english speaking users.

Lots of bug fixes done
Fixed a problem with the automatic emails among other things.

New "Chord Helper" interpreter
There is a new interpreter called Chord Helper. It will give you suggestions what chords might fit well with the key of the song you are writing!

Publishing projects
You can now publish a project, so that it can be viewed by anyone you share the link with.

Immersive editing - one day...
Editing storypoints now support pyjamas widgets, which means that in the future more powerful/interactive ways of editing the content will be possible.

Server change
LaserOwl has now moved to a new location, www.laserpanda.com/laserowl
This server should be much faster and more reliable than my development server.

Reset password fixed
The reset password function now works.

New front page
Now with a new front page. Could really use a nice logo though...

Drag and Drop
I have now implemented Drag and Drop! It works quite well. Drag a storypoint and drop on another to rearrange them. Same with notes and note bins. To attach a note to a storypoint, just drag the note onto the storypoint. Do it again to detach.

JSONRCP
LaserOwl now supports JSONRCP for database commynication. This information is completely useless to you, but hopefully will it let me develop new functionality quicker!
